Prepper buddy JRW (You know who you are) reminded me of something — anyone who wants to stock up on potassium iodate and hasn’t done so yet, this is a good time to do it.
Mine are good till 2029 & 2032, so they last a long time. If things keep escalating, they may become more expensive or become unavailable. (Think TP & PPE)
The Potassium Iodate I Have
I have no way of testing (or even using) brands of Potassium Iodate, so I’ll tell you the brands I have.
I have a bottle of these 130 mg Potassium Iodide Tablets(Aff link) in my bugout bag and another in my med pack. I also have a strip of these IOSAT Potassium Iodide Tablets(Aff link) in my get-home pack. (Both of which will soon be in my coming Pack Series videos.)
I have 130 mg, which is apparently the recommended adult dosage for 24 hours. Remember that I’m a blogger – not a doctor, so do your research.
I recommend you print or write down the dosage and directions for the ages you might need and keep them with the meds.

I’m not saying I think we’ll need them. No doom and gloom here. As a prepper, I feel better being prepared where possible. If nothing happens (It probably won’t), you have one more item checked on your prepping list.
