This is a short video showing what I carry with me every day in my EDC Bag. My EDC pack is geared to help me get home as well as what I might need during the day so I call it my EDC/Get-Home Bag.

While sitting in my truck waiting on a customer I decided to record a short impulse video on my EDC Bag. I grabbed my EDC bag / get-home pack and started recording.

I also cover the cost of building your charging kit, including an itemized list of everything I put in the best charging kit I own – which I just put together this week.

I won’t get all technical and geeky on you. Honestly, while I’ve been using these kits for the last five years, I have no interest in learning anything beyond what is necessary to make the best portable charging kits while keeping the costs down. I am not an electrician and won’t pretend to understand every aspect of these devices.

Building A Blackout Kit

Thinking about building a blackout kit? In this article, I’ll go over some of the preps we have in place to make life a little more bearable when the power inevitably goes out.

This is the second and final post in the two-part series of – Building A Blackout Kit. See part one here: An Emergency Generator.

I believe all of us have had the power go out where we live. Even a completely self-sufficient person living off the grid (Which I am not) will likely face a power failure at some point. Part of being prepared includes being ready for the juice to stop.

Which Survival Water Filter Should I Use – The Sawyer Mini or the LifeStraw?

Survival Gear I Didn’t Need And Shouldn’t Have Bought – A Couple Of Real Examples

How does posting survival gear I didn’t need and shouldn’t have bought help you? I’m hoping by posting a few of my mistakes, you might benefit by finding a more direct route to preparedness and self-sufficiency.
