In this article, I cover four reasons why I’m not a big fan of can rotation systems for our prepper pantries and why a simpler and more traditional method may be better.

We need to protect, store, and rotate our meat investments.
In this article, we’re going to look at managing your bulk meat purchase. Post-purchase – post bulk meat buying. What do we do after filling our freezer with half a cow or any other fresh meat to ensure nothing gets wasted?
This post IS NOT a how-to on buying half a cow, how to do it, or anything other than how to manage it after you have made the purchase.
With the troubles of our supply chain and skyrocketing food prices, many preppers are taking the head-on approach when it comes to meat. They’re buying half a cow or splitting a pig with someone. In less than 20 minutes, I put together a meal in our garage. That’s right, I went off-grid style again, using a camp stove to make a sloppy joe mix with ground beef, Manwich, and home-canned mushrooms. Of course, I also made a video as well. 🙂

An article on how to rehydrate dried mushrooms? Absolutely, because dehydrating vegetables is a fantastic method of preserving for long-term food storage and your prepper pantry. If we’re going to dehydrate it, we need to know how to re-hydrate it.
Let’s rehydrate dried mushrooms. I’m cooking a roast today using dehydrated mushrooms and decided to record a short video on adding the dried/dehydrated mushroom to the Crock-Pot.
By the way, rehydrating other vegetables works the same way. I just happened to be rehydrating mushrooms today.
